Do you know what bullying is? Do you think this is a problem at your school, especially with girls? Have you ever experienced this firsthand? What would you do if someone was bullying you?
People can be really mean. You need to stand up for yourself; show them that you mean what you say, and if things get out of control, your friends are always there for you. My dad always tells me "be a leader not a follower." You can make a change so do it!
Ok. Sure, it’s bad to be bullied. But I know that if I was bullying someone and they said to me. "You can say whatever you want because it will just keep on bouncing off of me," I know that I would just start laughing out loud. Try to think of a better comeback. For example, if someone says to you, "you have a big bellybutton" (I don’t know, I’m just trying to think of anything) you should say, "I LIKE it that way," or just don’t say anything. If you don’t say anything, they will eventually leave you alone. One of the main reasons why people bully is for the satisfaction of the other person to get angry or make a silly comeback.
My classmate is really horrible to a girl I know in my class. It’s really painful to see this girl suffer. I know I should ditch my classmate and stand up for the other girl but my friend is quite powerful in my class and if I ditch her, then the whole group disses me. It’s kind of a clique thing. This girl wants to be in our group but the problem is she isn’t very cool- although mean, it’s true. I want to help her but I don’t know how without losing all my best friends....
I would like to say that I was bullied a couple times by a girl named Rieta, she used to keep on getting people to look down on me and I felt like I was being stepped on. When people keep looking down on you and then they want to be your friend, just say no and walk away and stay away from them and that is it, your problems are solved.
There is a girl called Elie and she has been picking on me since seventh grade. She did get suspended for one day but I want to leave the school but I’m afraid to tell my mum that I’m being bullied!!!!
You might think I’m weird but I was bullied and what I realized is that people bully other people because they're insecure and they take their insecurities out on the victims-that's you. I’m not saying you should let them carry on bullying you because they don't have the right to do that to you, you tell them to back off, you ignore them even though it's hard not to, but sure let they make fun of you-you're going to make it far in life.
Yes, girls hurt alot more then guys do. My feelings get hurt bad when they laugh and make fun of me.
Bullying doesn't stop in school, it continues throughout your life and sometimes the very ones who are supposed to help you are the ones doing the bullying and harassing.
I was just walking to class the other day and this boy comes up and says, "Dude, you’re really ugly!!!" I was shocked. I cried in the bathroom all through next period.
Bullying is violence.
I will just walk away and say that's being childish. And what did I do to you for you to be bullying me?
At my school they talk a lot about bullying and gossiping and that it’s not nice. And no one really gets made fun of. Peace out!!
“No Bullying Is Allowed” What are you thinking just to get a laugh out of someone? You think you might impress or even the whole class, why on God's beautiful earth would you purposely try to make another human being feel lower than the dirt beneath the earth? In order to feel better it's not necessary to make others feel worse Each time you belittle them, their self esteem drops lower, the world they share with you seems colder, you could be missing out on the best friend you could ever have, if only you gave them half a chance, each sighting of you, builds up fear in their hearts and in their minds, sometimes they’d rather be dead, what a mean and horrible thought to be responsible for putting in someone's head They wish you were a friend instead of a foe, what goes around comes around someday this awful feeling you undoubtedly will know! Some times those close to them might encourage them to fight, which only adds to the desire of flight! Either at school in your neighborhood, family or work please realize your unnecessary picking on others, either physically or mentally truly hurts! Parents please teach your children that there are everlasting effects, when they intentionally make others feel like less, please teachers try your best to add this lesson to your agenda; it's important in your student’s daily lives, please don't spread this message quietly, teach it very loud that in your schools, neighborhoods, or families "No Bullying Is Allowed." I always get picked on because I'm smart in math and a bunch of jealous snotty girls giggle every time I answer a question. I'm a 14 years old. Girls, if you ever get picked on with the same situation, don't ever listen to the snotty jealous girls. They just want to make you feel bad.
Girls bully by spreading rumors, and turning the other girl’s friends against them. I'm 12 and in seventh grade, and there is so much drama right now. Even the guys are involved! **Gasp**
One day I was eating lunch and this boy came up to me and he pushed me and hit me. It was not good. I was in almost in 1st grade when this happened. I was crying but even in the hallway my teacher did not tell him to go away. My answer is don’t let anybody but your family touch you.
One day I went to school and this girl came up to me and pushed me down hard. I needed help from the nurse. I was better at the end of school. I think people would not like to get badly pushed or anything so that my answer.
I hope that all the parents of bullies mature quickly to teach their girls and boys proper behavior. I don't want my little girl to grow up and potentially be bullied.
In grade 1 to 3 a girl bullied me. My sister stood up for me everyday but she moved away. No one should go through bullying.
In grade 1 to 3, a girl named Jamie bullied me. She acted like my friend one year then was a bully the next. Now I’m getting bullied again by people who used to be my friends. They said straight to my face they never did like me. That happened two days ago. I think no one should get bullied.
Hi, I am 17 and here's my thought. People's ignorance allows their downfall. I was bullied. You learn to stand up for yourself.
Honestly I would like to speak up because I was once bullied, and I am 13 years old. I want to give every girl/teen hope to know that God will find each girl’s strength in their heart to resist what the bullies are saying or DOING, to make them feel horrible inside. Every girl/teen should be treated equally no matter what their looks or their skin color. I feel that God will help us through everything many people put us through each day. I want to thank Mrs. Barbara Stokes because she helped me go through everything I’ve been put through. May every girl/Teen be with you in your heart.
Bullying is something bad. I have been bullied by some girls in my school. My name is Diana I'm in 10th grade and I was born deaf. When I was in school some girls would look at me and I would think they were talking bad about me because I'm deaf and I feel so bad because I could not say anything to those girls.
When I was in kindergarten I was bullied. It continued through third grade. It was two girls. They were sisters and the younger one was in my same grade, and her sister was in the next grade. I told my mom, and she told me to just stay away from them. She also tried to talk to their mom, but the mother was also a bully and scared me and some of the teachers too. I played with the girls anyway but I felt ashamed and they would still bully me. I love my mom but I felt angry that I didn't listen to her. In fourth grade there was a new girl who came to school and in my classroom. She was in the fifth grade. She bullied me a lot, but also I realized she was probably sad in her heart about something. She was tall and overweight. She had curly hair and was bigger than most of the other kids. She was sassy to my teacher and even to some of the other kid’s parents. Now I'm in the fifth grade and no troubles! (Oh and I'm 10 years old.)
Girls usually attack each other with words instead of physically, but it hurts just as much. When other kids bully me, I usually say something like, "Really? Cool!" or "That would hurt... If I cared about your opinion. ……which I don't." It's like I'm playing ping-pong, and I have to shoot an answer back as quickly as I can.
I'm 11 and there’s a lot of bullying in my grade (I’m in 5th grade). I love my school but not when every body’s being bullied there are other things in life than just bullying.
I think no one should be bullied because there's other things to do in life.
I have been bullied not at school, not by classmates, but by my aunts and cousins. They pretty much killed my self esteem.
I have been sexually bullied.
Why does everyone have to be so mean?
I’m tired of people talking about me and I’m about to start a fight.
I just started middle school. The girls can be mean but I have made a lot of friends. It’s so different from elementary school. I miss my old friends.
I moved to a new school and the first few days I had a girl dogging me. I told my mom. She went to school and confronted the girl, and then she confronted the girl’s mom. WOW. That girl doesn't even look at me anymore. My mom is an ex-marine and even though she is very nice, she is straight and to the point. I think you should always tell your mom.
I think no one should be bullied.
I’m 11 and I think there is a lot of drama like that in middle school.
I'm 16. I'm a junior in High School and I've been bullied since second grade. All because I'm overweight. I've gone home and cried and gotten frustrated almost on a day to day basis at one point. And it truly didn't help anything. I've learned from my mom to do three things; ignore it, stand up for myself, and put an end to it. When you can't ignore it: defend yourself. I learned to be sassy and show confidence even if I didn't have it! And if it's necessary (which it was for me my sophomore year) tell someone! My principal was really cool and didn't just tell someone I'd accused them, he brought it out of them and it turns out they were cowards. You don't have to live with being bullied! And you know what, my junior year is going great so far, not a bully in sight! Good luck ladies!
I am an adult who was picked on by a group of girls from elementary school through sophomore year of h.s. I tried to handle it myself, never telling teachers, as I didn't want to seem like a tattler. I know now that I was wrong to keep it to myself. Had I gone to the teachers and/or had my parents intervene with school authorities, I could have had a much better time of it in school. I was miserable much of the time. I had one or two friends who were outside the "clique" of girls who were the most popular people. I wasn't invited to parties and sleepovers, just by my few friends. This was very damaging to my self esteem and my social skills. As an adult, when someone says something negative to me in the workplace, I'm right back in high school being picked on. I have to consciously try to make myself respond as other people would without reacting with anger. My advice is get a teacher and your parents involved and fast. Do not stop efforts to get them to stop until someone actually puts a stop to the person's bad behavior!
I was a first hand victim of a bully. Throughout my junior year of high school a girl did everything she could to make my life miserable. She threatened me in front of the entire school and humiliated me in front of my friends, she and her sister tried to run me over in the school parking lot with their car, she vandalized my car and poured ranch all over the front of it. She tried to slash my tires. I couldn't take it anymore and filed a police report and that’s when I filed a stalking personal protection order against her. It was hard at first and I went through a really tough time in my life, I became depressed, I didn't do well in school. I just wanted to let everyone know that it does turn around as long as you do something about it! Stand up for yourself girls, be strong. Everything will be ok in the end.
Hey Miranda! When I read your comment I felt so bad, I said to myself I just got to give her some words of encouragement. So here it is: you shouldn't care what NOBODY says about you. I also wanted to say DON"T GIVE UP!
Yes. Bullying is when someone is picking on you, or making you feel uncomfortable. I think it is a BIG problem at my school ECSPECIALLY with girls because to me it seems like girls are just hating on girls because they have swag and maybe it is better than someone else’s. What I would do if someone was bullying me is this: I would go talk to the guidance counselor at school.
I think bulling is bad.
Well I'm in 8th grade and there's just too much drama with this girl I know and she's saying all this stuff about me and she said to my one of my bffs she wanted to push me down the stairs. I don’t know what to do and she started this rumor and now she’s saying all this stuff and that I caused everything and trying to get everyone on her side so she doesn’t seem like the bad guy and she’s so perfect so she tells the girl that I started everything and if she says I spread it around. Why would she try to get the whole 7th grade to think this? She’s too much to handle. She makes me want to transfer schools. Ohh, and she tried to get MY best friends to believe her when she knows she started it first and she has no right to be doing that and she tried saying that about my other best friend and tried blaming that on some other girl but one day she’s going to get caught and look stupid in front of everyone and they’re going to know her for the real her.
I'm in 10th grade and I'm being bullied by this girl who calls me her friend. She always makes fun of me and occasionally hits me. But she always says that she's just "joking around" She always threatens to fight me if I don't do what she says. And I know that I could never win a fight. She's always makes fun of me and I try to ignore her but the things she says are true. Like how I have hairy arms for a girl. I'm Indian. But the thing that really annoys me the most is that she calls me a terrorist. And I hate that. She keeps saying that she's just messing with me and I keep telling her to stop but she keeps doing it anyways. I don't want to mess with her because she's tough and I don't know what she'll do.
I was riding the school bus to my school and I was just sitting down then I saw a paper ball fly over my head and I asked who threw it and a girl said it was me. So I threw it back and it hit the girl on the head and so she asked the same thing and thing the guy beside me said it was me and so she came up to sat down beside me and she said that if I throw it again she was going to beat me up and she said that she was going to tell on me and I almost got into a fight with her and then she went to her seat then I started to cry because it was really mean what she said and I didn’t want to get into a fight with anyone on the bus even though I like to fight I just don’t want to get in trouble.
I’ve never been bullied but if someone did bully me I would definitely tell someone. Bullying isn't really a problem at my school though.
Cyber bullying is bad! I have been but I don’t care only if it’s worse!!
Bullying isn’t a problem for me because we can get it in best, believe it.
If some mean girl came up to me and say you’re fat, weird ,and disgusting I would say, "You can say what you want but all it does is bounce right off me,” and I would walk away.
When I was in 4th grade there was this girl who always bullied me she would hit me always get me in trouble also after school I would go home with cuts on my face and bruises on my arms and legs.
I have been bullied and I don’t like it. I think it is stupid to judge and be rude to a person.
Bullying happens everywhere. If someone bullies me I go and tell a responsible adult. School is for learning and being more social
In elementary school I was bullied here n there but never a lot when I got in to 5th and up I started fighting back I never was a scary person. If somebody feels like they got to try and bully me then they deserve to get beat up. That’s how I see it. If you are bullying somebody then you must not have respect for yourself and nobody loves or likes you then.
If you get bullied, than speak up for yourself, no matter how big or bad they are. I never really get bullied because I'm the type to fight back.
Tell a teacher or your mom and stay away from the person that is bullying you.
There used to be this girl who bullied me and then lied saying she didn't when I went to go talk to the teacher.:(
I am going into 6th grade, and it’s a new school. In my Elementary School, bullying was never a problem, really. Just the occasional "Your breath smells bad!" It never really bothered me. I think over here in go with the flow city, if you have autism or you’re overweight, nothing is said. I hear horror stories about how people are made fun of for being tall. I am 5'5", Not skinny or fat. Taller then anybody in my class. I am expecting huge changes in Middle school. If someone was bullying me, I would say cutting them off "Really?! Is that so?" And walk away.
If someone was bullying me, trust and believe it would never happen again ‘cause I’m gonna swing on somebody…
You should try to tell a trusted adult or guardian if you are getting bullied. Never be afraid to tell someone about problems in your life because they are very important.
I've been cyber bullied before. I've been teased and insulted, but whatever. I hate my life, and there's nothing I can do about it.
I am a girl who has experienced "girl bullying" first hand. They would always talk about me, spread rumors, and make fun of me. It didn't make me feel very good at all.
Bullying is hurting someone physically, verbally, or over the Internet. I think this is definitely a problem at my school, especially with girls. I have experienced bullying firsthand. If someone was bullying me, I would tell a trusted adult. (parent, teacher, school counselor).
On my school bus, I have experienced tons of bullying just because I'm from India, and some guys are mean to me too because of my race. Also, I have faced some bullying just because I have long, frizzy hair. Isn't that crazy?! I've had scary thoughts up until last year, when I got involved in my church more and eventually I got saved. Now I'm one of my school's most popular kids, everyone respects me, and most important, I love myself a lot. I don't put myself down anymore and I'm REALLY outgoing, which is weird because in 6th grade I was probably the quietest girl in school. I'm also now pretty comfortable talking to boys, even boys I like.
People at my school are bullied for just about everything even if you have pink on your shoes and you're a boy!
I hang out with two other girls and they both seemed nice - then we broke up and I played with another friend - my two other friends stayed together. On the outside of the group they seemed like bullies. One of the friends and I made up - but the other one is a little jealous.
think that it is a real problem at my school. Bullying to me is when someone belittles someone else for personal gain. I have always remembered being bullied and it still hurts today thinking about how I still am.
Bullying doesn't always mean hitting and hurting. Sometimes bullying can be something as little as glaring or calling a name. Also, people who bully need kindness and forgiveness. Not enemies.
Bullying is where one or more kids are saying hurtful things to you or a friend etc. I would have to say yes, sometimes it is a problem at my school. Sometimes it takes the office awhile just to get it fixed. Yes, in elementary and middle school I was made fun of ALOT but things have changed with me and those people we are kind of friends now. I mean we talk every now and then but that’s about it. I would say ignore it and if it gets to the point where you just couldn't take it anymore report it or talk to an adult or someone about it. I am sure someone will stand up and take control of the issue.
Well there is this girl at my school who is bi and she actually asked out the hot girl in school. And now everyone thinks she's a freak and is always picking on her and like saying “don’t come near me you are a freak.”
This is an answer to the first question on the page. If you are bullied don’t bully back. Two wrongs don’t make a right. What would your parents think and how would you feel after you did it. You know what the right thing to do is.
There is this boy who picks on girls. He is my age and only a grade behind me. He picks on my sister and me, always cursing at us and saying really dirty things. My dad has told me to not take crap from people no matter who they are. He tells us to punch this boy next time he does something to us, but we never have the guts to. I've had the guts to throw a water balloon. I just want to do something that will make him stop picking on everyone.
I have experienced bulling before. I have a friend and she lives next door and I was over and I wanted to know one of my friends phone numbers, and she said I will only give you her phone number if you give me your straw berry flavored lip gloss and I said ok......then later she gave me the phone number and I ran out of the lip gloss (it was two days later) so, if I would have given her the lip gloss, she would of had an empty lip gloss container and I would have a phone number and she would complain that is was not "fair" (it is still not fair for me.) She gave me the phone number and I said I was out can I get you something else to replace it? And she threatened me so I said that I won’t be your friend if you keep threatening me......so she said I will tell everyone all these lies about you. So I said fine tell the lies, I don’t care I just don’t want to be your friend. And now we are not friends.....that is my friend.
When people bullies they are hurting themselves just as well as others. Make sure when you are bullying someone you know what it’s doing to their self esteem. Better yet, how about not bullying at all? Let’s see how that one works out.
Ignore the bully. But if she/he hits you, then you have to stand up and fight back.
I’ve been bullied a lot.. and I still have good friends and now I’m more "POPLULAR" and my old bully isn't. I have the chance to stop and speak up for her or join in and bully her!! My new friends say after all that she has done to me "GO AHEAD" but there is something telling me to stop?? I don’t know what to do??
I think bullying is happening at my school a lot , it's even happened to me! I have a friend who has bipolar and she gets teased and bullied all the time. It's not her fault! She has gone to the principal before with her problem and kids still tease her, even if they get in trouble! I don't like it, not one bit.
I'm Trisha Anne and I’m 11. I was harassed and bullied by a 11 year old boy named Jaime he's intends to hurt the weak boys and weak girls. He keeps on saying shut up and I’m not your friend to weak boys he calls weak people like me names.
Bullies are people like just like you and me. The only reason they bully us 'little kids' is because of lack of self-esteem. Just remind yourself you have friends they won't have any.
I would ignore the person that was the bully. I would also tell that person that I hope someday that they may find a real good friend or someone who will actually listen to them talk about their own problems. And let me tell you, they have mental problems! The only reason why bullies do this is for attention. Yes, to make anyone they can... feel down ..only to pleasure themselves for a moment. Bullies in reality are actually cowards and make themselves feel good by making other people feel bad. So never be a coward and never ever let anyone insult your intelligence or your beauty. Boyfriends can bully as well and that hurts too. Find a boyfriend that likes himself first, and then he won’t find any fault with you.
I've been bullied all my life because I am so short. I know it hurts, it has driven me to be someone I am not, and also driven me to do things I deeply regret, like ignoring those who where my true friends. But I’ve learned from my mistakes, And now that my friends and I are a bit older, and a bit wiser, we can stand up to it. At my school I think between girls it can get really bad, jealousy can drive people who are your friends to do things they don't really mean. When people bully me the first thing I do is tell someone I trust, like for me it was my dance teacher. They can help you through it, and even make it stop. Just remember, if the person is being mean to you, don’t be mean back, it can only make it worse.
I was bullied outside of school. This girl hit me and her sister bashed my leg with a bike. And I was always to upset to talk so I wrote down my feelings and drew pictures. So after a week my mum went to the principal and told him about this. The only reason it went to the school because the girl was in my class it’s sorted out now. SPEAK UP ABOUT BULLYING NOW! :)
I think bullying is when they mock you and physical abuse...
In my school I was bullied by a girl in my grade. She used to make fun of everything I did. Then suddenly she was nice to me. I knew those things don't just happened, and found out it was a trick. I know now that whatever people do to, do what your heart says and follow your dreams, it's not your fault they're pretty much wasting their life.
Bullying is when others pick on you to make themselves feel better and to make you feel worse. Bullying is something you'll go through all your life. When you face a bully it gets harder, yeah but it also lets them know that you are able to stand up for yourself.
Bullying is an issue with girls. Sometimes bullies pick on you because they feel bad about themselves and making you feel worse will make them feel better. I was bullied and I reached out to try and be friends and she accepted my offer, soon enough with a real friend she stopped bullying other girls because she did feel better about herself.
Bullying can come in many forms; cyber bullying, physical bullying, mental bullying. In my opinion, I think that girls feel like they can’t tell adults about bullying because they think that when unsupervised, the bully will only harass them more. Teachers and other adults need to be understanding about that. Sometimes girls just don’t want to tell their parents about it, but usually parents don’t understand that. I think that if a girl wants to tell her parents about bullying, then she will, and parents don’t need to force things out of girls. We are old enough to know how to handle a lot of tough situations, and we want to be independent. If parents try to deal with every situation we are involved in, that will help us for the time being, but who is going to deal with situations for us during adulthood? We are! Our parents won’t be there every step of the way. We want to deal with bullying ourselves usually. We want to feel independent and older and important! :-)
This girl in my school, Patricia, bullies us and treat us badly because we didn’t want to be her friend anymore.
I have been bullied lots of times for lots of reasons and even though bulling hurts what really matters is what you think of yourself.
Bullying should be dealt with somehow! We should try to speak up and tell someone if we are being bullied!
I’ve been bullied. I think we should just ignore them. I think mostly why they bully you is because they’re jealous so you may think good of yourself and forget the bad things they have said or have done.
Bullying shouldn't be left alone; don't think (parents) that it will just "eventually pass on" or "go away". Bullying is bad, it’s not good for any youngster to experience this in their happy & full-of-life years. I've been through this-no actually I’m going through this and right now I’m scared of even thinking about going back to school because I don't want to face them. But you know, seriously what's the worst that can happen? Getting into a fight? Personally inflicting mental damage to the mind and spirit? Stand up! Let people hear you out! Talk to teachers or even friends. Just always make sure to have at least someone with you at all times. Not to start a fight but to just be with you, so you can be calm and not worry about those bullies. My own mother went through this and even her experience with bullying was worse than mine. Compared to mine, hers was so traumatic that you would probably cry each and every single day you come from school. But my mother is strong and I envy her for that.
I know what bullying is. I have been bullied since Kindergarten.
Bullying is verbal and mental abuse to the bully and the victim. And bullying hurts people a lot so prevent bullying!
I would go up to the person and tell them, " You should really think about what you’re doing, what you are doing to people, so I would step down from where you think you are and look behind yourself!" Then I would leave the room and ignore them for the rest of the day.
In logical terms, bullying is mental, verbal or physical harm done by another to a person. There are many kinds of bullying. There's the kind where girls at school will make fun of the new shirt you got, or the gross remark a boy made to you. I have been bullied by different people many times during my school years. I was sexually harassed, and girls often made fun of what I wore, or what I believed in. They even made remarks about my appearance, saying I was "ugly" or "different". In these dreadful cases, I often told a trusted adult, such as a parent, guidance counselor or teacher. They can help you on such problems.
Bullying is usually formed by cliques because people need support to bully.
I think bulling is someone who is mad or sad and takes it out on other kid and thats why there called bullys.
I know what bullying is and it is not funny not one bit! It can hurt you in many, many ways. But it hurts you the most in all of the ways. Stand up for yourself!
Mainly these two girls at my school tease me and my friends. They do it because my new friend is considered weird. What’s really bad is that I used to be just like them. I didn’t know her and thought she was weird. But the point is that I stood by my friends for 2 years and I'm not going to stop now.
Well at my school, it’s a racial thing. Everyone’s in gangs and of sorts nowadays, it's really annoying because I’m in no gang, I stand up for myself but then again I’m not as strong as the girls that go around punching everyone up, I’ve never been touched but I have heard by my friends that they're after me, and they will come for me when I get back to school. I really don't know what to do as I’m not tall and strong and I can't walk away from it????
Bullying isn’t a big problem at our school. The older kids may push younger ones a little. I live in a small community, so the school isn’t big. I know names of kids 1-9th grade. So, it isn’t a problem. But I do know what it’s like to be put down by the boys.... but they just want to get on my nerves.
I think bullying is a major problem with people who have low self-esteem, they just do it to feel better about themselves.
Bullying is where someone is hurting you in some way either emotionally or physically and it`s always wrong. I don`t really think this is a problem at my school but I`m pretty sure it will be in high school. If someone was bullying me emotionally, at first I would tell them very nicely to stop, but if they kept on I would just walk away and try to avoid them as much as possible. If someone was bullying me physically I would run and tell an adult that I trust as soon as possible.
I've been bullied twice and I've done something about it. I've been bullied more than twice, but I ignored the girls that have done the bullying, and they stopped. Here's the first story. I had to leave my old school and move to a new school, and I met one of my friends from my old school. She told me that right when I left my old school my "best friend" ("" because she always started fights with me, but "supposedly" we always made up) told all my secrets to pretty much all the girls in my grade and the boys that I liked. She also told my other friends that she was glad I left, because she hated me. So, I called her up and asked her why she would do that to me. She told me that she felt like it. I asked her how would she feel if someone told all her secrets and talk behind her back, like she did to me. She said she wouldn't like it and then she apologized. That ended that. The other story is, a girl from a grade higher than me, started telling everyone that I was mean and she was going to hit me with a baseball bat. I never did anything to her, and I only knew her from my cheer team. Then, a group of friends at a sleepover told me that she made a song about me. The song was, "Oh my gosh ****** *******'s (*'s replaced my name) coming. I better call my mama before I hit her with a bat. WHAM!" This was the end of it. I told my mom and dad, then they called her mom and dad and settled it. From then on, I never heard anyone telling me about her saying anything like that again. That's how I put up with the bullying.
This is about a comment on here already: it doesn't matter if you go to a private school. I read a story about a girl who was bullied at a private school, a Catholic school, at that. It's just less likely to get reported there because of the difference in rules at private and public school.
This girl was bullying me and I don't know why. I think because she didn't feel good about herself, so she picks on other girls to deal with her pain. That doesn't make sense, but I think it's true.
Bullying is when someone taunts & teases you. I think bullying is a huge problem in schools today and it needs to be stopped. I have experienced bullying and the FIRST THING I would do is tell my mom.
Bullying at my school is physical mainly. The clique of bullies is of five people. They push people and make fun of all the shy people and a lot of others.
I think that if a person is bullied that should tell an adult! Then if they don’t tell an adult, I say handle it yourself! But in a good way not go up to them and start a fight, but just go up to them and ask them to stop picking on you and show them why it hurts! And if they don’t stop then try to tell their parents! I also think if a person is picking on someone that their having problems in their home so they take it out on other people! I used to b a bully and I changed because I saw how I was hurting the other person and I was hurting myself too! So never bully anybody because the only thing it’s going to do is come back on you 10 times harder!
I think bullying is wrong. People make fun of me because of my hair and how shy I am. They don't only pick on me they pick on all of my friends.
Bullying dosen't go on in my school because I go to a private school.
I would talk to my friends.
Bullying is a way of harming someone and lowering their self-esteem physically or verbally. This is a problem at my school because it usually ends up turning into gossip and small cliques around school which eventually turns into physical fights. I have experienced this firsthand and it really hurts. People can really be embarrassed alone and afraid of people so much that they don't go to school on purpose because someone is bullying them. If someone is bullying you, you won't be a tattletale if you report it especially if it is effecting your life at school or home in more ways then one. Always speak out if you are getting bullied.
Bullying is when you bully someone for no reason we don't have bullies at school. I would tell a teacher if a bully was bullying me.
Okay, if I had a bully problem at school, I would just ignore it. BUT if they hit me twice, ITS ON!!!
There is one bully at my school and she is a girl. There are very few of us, like only 5 in our class, so I am always bullied. I have learned to stand up for myself and it really helps, so don't let a bully walk all over you!
At my school there is definitely NOT physical bullying between the girls...but there is definitely bullying, emotional and social. I have experienced bullying firsthand...a lot of my friends make fun of a group of girls at my school. I’ve never had the courage to speak up though.
At my school, in my grade, there are two certain bullies. One is a boy, the other a girl. The girl was extremely mean, and her 'friends' actually weren't her friends, they just hung around her. Three things that this girl did that were mean were: one, when I got so dehydrated that I had to go to the ER, she told everyone that I had had a SEIZURE. The next day she said in this honey-sweet voice, " Oh, I was SO worried about you!" Two, when I raised my hand first to get something she was passing out, she gave it to me last. Thirdly, I had celery for snack, and she said, in a voice so loud, everyone could hear, " Ewww! She has CELERY for snack!" of course, she was saying this with junk food in her hands. Next time she does something like that, I'm going to ask her why she did it, and to stop. I hope there isn't a next time, though.
A lot of bullying goes on in my school and I haven't experienced firsthand. If someone bullied me I would tell my parents and teachers.
Bullying does go on in my school because a lot of people are older and mean.
In my school we don't have the type of bullies that beat you up but the type that crush your self-esteem with insults. I think that is worse than getting beat up!!
OKAY STOP PLEASE! Everyone gets bullied and I think it is so stupid but if you get hurt or anything tell someone and if it stills happens tell an adult I mean if you don’t, don’t go and start crying about saying no one helped you if you didn’t do anything to help yourself so really if you don’t want to get bullied help yourself and try to TELL!
Just be confident and don’t give the bullies anything to tease you about and they won’t be able to harm you.
I just want to say that bullies do what they do to make themselves feel better. Just know that you are the better person and that is why you are being bullied and that should make you feel better in a situation where you would have to deal with a bully.
Bullying is treating someone not like yourself. It can be a word, a physical punch or kick, or it could be just a threat. In ways, girls are meaner than boys. Most teenagers I know are bullies in some way. In some way, every single person on this Earth is a bully. Bulling does not happen a lot at my elementary school but now that I am going to go into middle school this year they will probably be more. Always get adult help when it comes to dealing with a bully. Bulling has happened to everyone. If you haven't gotten bullied but are the bully think about who will have friends in the long run.
Yes, I know firsthand what bullying is. At my old school kids used to tease, hit, and torture me I am a quiet person so I did nothing until 5th grade when I went off.
Lots of girls in my school get bullied by people. Most of the time it is from girls that are the teacher’s daughter. I think people should stop worrying about fitting in and try to ignore people!
I am going into 10th grade and my best friend doesn't have her period or breasts yet. All of the popular, big breasted girls tease her. I have seen it.
I think bullies pick on kids with low self esteem (maybe kids who have been bullied before) I’ve never been bullied. People just know I don’t tolerate it. People can jokingly say 'you're so obese' but since I’m average weight, and I have confidence I can laugh it off. Having confidence is key!
Sometimes friends bully because they’re jealous. They will lie and say that you are bullying them to get away with it, and that happened to me. My friend would call me fat, and touch me in places I didn't want to be touched, like she would squeeze my sides and stuff. I told my school principle and we're no longer friends. I was only her friend because she had no friends, and then she abused the fact I was nice to her. People didn't like her for that reason, and we are no longer friends. And I got in trouble, until my parents got involved.
In my sixth grade year, I was a cyber bully. Two of my friends and I would send an anonymous email to the whole grade. We'd say things that could devastate others. We weren't trying to be mean, we were just having fun. Until parents found out. Everyone but our parents that is. Then, parents started telling the principal. We were humiliated. We ended up being the ones that were devastated :-/.
I have been bullied a lot before. I hated it!! But I tried to stop it but there is nothing that could help!! I think bullying is a very big problem in most schools!!!
A friend of mine is always getting teased by other girls because she is weird and slightly overweight. THIS MUST STOP.
Fat girls are not always picked on. You can be any shape and any weight and be picked on.
Sometimes people bully because they feel bad about themselves. They also could be having problems at home.
One of my friends are overweight and she's always last to get picked in games, everybody always talks about her behind her back and she's always made fun of.
Lots of guys can be super mean, especially while developing. Some girls hurt you about your curves. ALWAYS.
A girl in my class who is my best friend she gets picked on EVERY day and the school or her parents never do anything.
That’s not always true. I’m over weight and I never get picked on.
Me and my best friends Cassidy and Darian were bullied from 3rd to 4th grade. My life was bad I was depressed and cried for no reason at all. So bullying should be STOP I MEAN STOP!
I think that girls going through puberty get bullied a lot. Bullying is picking on someone else to make you seem or feel tough. But bullying is not right.
Fat girls are always picked on.
Bullying is wrong and HAS to be stopped. No one, and I repeat, NO ONE should or be able to hurt you and make you feel bad about yourself. This is your life, and you need to tell the bullies that they're hurting you and others around you. You're beautiful, and no one can tell you that you're not!
If someone bullied me, I would definitely tell and adult and speak up for myself. Nobody deserves to be treated badly, especially from a bully. Girls can be just as bad as a bully as boys, in fact, sometime girls are worse. Girls pick on others, threaten others, and exclude them.
I think that this site is great and very interesting.
Ok one I'm Canadian. When I was bullied every time the bully said something mean to me I would act like I liked when she said it! It drove her nuts so she told on me and told the teacher that I was pretending that she was saying nice stuff and the teacher said that was a mature way to handle it.
If someone talks bad about you don’t talk bad about them. Say what you need to say to their face and not behind their back.
I think that bullying is worse for girls because they have to worry about acne, make-up, figures, all the latest gossip, and the latest trends and styles. If any one of these things is forgotten, then they pretty much get made fun of for it. I got bullied a lot but then I finally stood up to the people who were making fun of me. They never made fun of me again.
Bullying is definitely a problem at my school. When I was younger, I was bullied a lot. Now I see a lot of girls getting picked on and I help them out. I might not have the courage to stand up for them, but I always ask if I can do anything after it's over.
Bullying is anything that puts you down. One time a boy I know kept saying mean things to me, and I consider that bullying. It's very upsetting. Whenever someone is bullying you, you should distract yourself with something else. Don't believe ANYTHING a bully says about you. And if they are hurting you then you should definitely tell someone.
Fat girls ALWAYS get picked on.
