Every day you have lots of chances to help girls build healthy bodies and healthy habits. You can offer them delicious, nutritious meals and drinks. You can help them learn how to make smart food choices. And you can show them that eating healthy is a great way to be responsible and take care of yourself. Guiding a girl to make healthy choices is a gift that will last her lifetime!

Of course, busy lives and tempting choices can make it hard to eat healthy. In this section for parents and caregivers, we've made it easier with the basic ingredients for healthy eating. We also have some great tips on how to help girls eat healthier. And if you think a girl you care about needs to lose weight, we can help with that too.

Moms matter

Parents, especially mothers, can strongly influence girls’ health habits. Many girls consider their moms role models, research shows. Girls also say they think of their moms as a top source of nutrition information and emotional support.
