Illness and Disability: Medical issues

Medical issues

Young teen at the doctor's officeBetween school, friends, and family, life can be pretty stressful. When you add in taking care of your health and all the doctor and hospital visits, it might seem like too much to handle. There is good news, though. You are not alone! Your parents, doctors and other caregivers are there to support you. Also, there are lots of girls out there going through the same things you are. Just be patient, be proud of yourself, and be willing to work as a team with your parents and doctors. And remember, being sick or needing help doesn’t mean you aren’t strong and beautiful!
