Find out if you have a healthy self-esteem
If you have high or healthy self-esteem, you might think or say:
- I feel good about who I am.
- I am proud of what I can do, but I do not show off.
- I know there are some things that I am good at and some things I need to improve.
- I am responsible for the things I do and say, both good and bad.
- It is okay if I win or lose.
- Before I do something, I think “I can” and not, “I can’t.”
Does this sound like you? If only a few of the items in this checklist sound like you, that’s okay…you’re on the right track. Keep working at reminding yourself that you are a great person! If this doesn’t sound like you at all, see if you have low or poor self-esteem.
