Powerful Girls Like Me

Hi, I'm Chelsea!

I'm 17 years old and running is a big part of my life. Growing up, my family walked a lot together, and I always enjoyed the mile-run test in school. In 4th grade, I decided to join the local track club with a friend. I participated in a variety of activities before I began focusing on track, including soccer, ice-skating, basketball and ballet.

I try to set goals for myself that are challenging, but realistic. One of my biggest achievements was when I won 1st place in the AAU Junior Olympics running both the 1500 and 3000-meter races. I like running long distances and the feeling of accomplishment it gives me. I make the most of my time by putting schoolwork first, and running a close second. My coaches are my role models and have always been there to support me.
