Makeup wake-up call

  1. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration checks all makeup before a company can sell it.

  2. Using mascara the wrong way can cause serious damage to your eyes, even blindness.

  3. You can use hair dye on your eyebrows and eyelashes because they are hair, too.

  4. If a makeup product says "cruelty free" or "not tested on animals," it means that no animal testing was done on the product or anything in it.

  5. Products that say "dermatologist tested" won't irritate your skin or cause an allergic reaction.

  6. If you have acne, you can still use any kind of foundation.
